POLICIES & CANCELLATIONS

At Source Bodywork™, each session is intentionally scheduled and prepared with care, focus, and presence. The following policies are in place to honor the time, energy, and commitment involved in this work.

Appointments

All sessions are by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled online or through direct communication.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

  • Same-day cancellations or missed appointments (no-shows) may be charged $50.

This policy allows time to offer the appointment to another client and respects the preparation involved in each session.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time. This ensures fairness to clients scheduled after you. The full session fee remains unchanged.

Packages & Memberships

Prepaid packages, memberships, and series are non-refundable and non-transferable. Missed sessions within a package are subject to the same cancellation policies listed above.

Illness & Emergencies

If you are experiencing acute illness, fever, or contagious symptoms, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. Emergencies will be handled with care and discretion.

INFORMED CONSENT & DISCLAIMER

Source Bodywork™ offers bodywork, manual therapy, and complementary wellness services designed to support structural balance, nervous-system regulation, and overall well-being.

Scope of Practice

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • therapeutic bodywork

  • myofascial and structural techniques

  • rehabilitative stretching

  • craniosacral therapy

  • cupping and Gua Sha

  • visceral manipulation

  • Reiki therapy

  • education in self-care and movement

These services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or care. No medical claims or guarantees are made.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate health information and for communicating any discomfort, pain, or concerns during a session. Clients may request changes or stop a session at any time.

Results

Every body responds differently. Results vary, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Assumption of Risk

By receiving services, clients voluntarily assume responsibility for any risks, discomfort, or reactions that may arise, whether known or unknown.

Release of Liability

Clients agree to release and hold harmless Source Bodywork™, Whitney Langlais, and any associated entities from liability related to services received, except in cases of gross negligence.

By scheduling and receiving services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this informed consent.

PHOTO & MEDIA CONSENT

At Source Bodywork™, visual documentation is sometimes used as an educational and therapeutic tool to help clients better understand their body, posture, and structural patterns.

This agreement explains how photos or videos may be taken and used, and clearly distinguishes between clinical use and public sharing, ensuring your comfort, consent, and autonomy at all times.

Clinical & Educational Photography (Internal Use)

As part of your care, photographs or short video clips may be taken to help you visually understand misalignment, postural patterns, movement restrictions, or structural changes within your body.

These images are used to:

  • support client education and awareness

  • demonstrate alignment, imbalance, or progress

  • guide treatment planning and integration

  • help you better see what your body is communicating

These images are not shared publicly without your explicit permission.

Photography for clinical education will always be explained beforehand, and your consent will be requested.

Optional Media Use for Website & Social Media

With your separate, written permission, selected photos or videos may be used for:

  • educational content

  • professional representation of the work

  • website and social media posts

  • marketing and storytelling for Source Bodywork™

Public use of images requires explicit consent and signature.
You will always be informed and asked before anything is shared.

Declining permission for public use will never affect your session, pricing, or care.

Your Consent & Comfort

Your participation is completely optional.

  • You may decline photography at any time.

  • You may consent to clinical photos but decline public sharing.

  • You may withdraw consent at any time, verbally or in writing.

Your boundaries, privacy, and dignity are always respected.

Scope of Images

If consent is given, images may include:

  • posture or movement documentation

  • hands-on bodywork techniques

  • specific areas of the body related to treatment

Whenever possible:

  • faces will be excluded or obscured unless explicitly approved

  • identifying features (tattoos, scars, jewelry) will be avoided or edited

  • no explicit, sexualized, or inappropriate imagery is ever captured

Ownership & Usage Rights (Public Use Only)

If you grant permission for public use:

  • Approved photos and videos become the property of Source Bodywork™.

  • Source Bodywork™ may use these images for professional, educational, and marketing purposes across platforms.

  • Images will never be sold or shared with third parties outside of Source Bodywork™ branding.

Respectful Representation

Source Bodywork™ agrees that all images will be:

  • used respectfully and professionally

  • aligned with the integrity of the work

  • free from misrepresentation

  • edited only for clarity, privacy, or aesthetics

Images will never be used in a way that feels exploitative, misleading, or disrespectful.

No Compensation

By granting consent, you acknowledge that no financial compensation is expected or provided for the use of images
